Fitness Instructor (Strength & Conditioning Speciality)

Deliver high-quality fitness instruction with a particular focus on introductory strength and conditioning across sites throughout the UK. The role involves supervising gym-based sessions, demonstrating safe exercise technique and coaching fundamental movement, resistance-training and physical-preparation activities within established programmes. Instructors will support participants in following prescribed training plans, maintaining appropriate training standards and progressing exercises within defined parameters. The position also includes equipment supervision, basic participant monitoring, facility safety and communication with more senior fitness or performance staff. This role is suited to an instructor developing practical S&C experience within a clearly defined and supervised scope of practice.

Level 2. The role involves supervised delivery of fitness and introductory strength and conditioning sessions within established programmes, procedures and facility standards. The instructor may demonstrate exercises, coach fundamental movement and resistance-training techniques, supervise safe use of equipment and support participant progression, but does not hold autonomous responsibility for programme design, complex athlete assessment or performance decision-making. The strength and conditioning speciality reflects the context of delivery rather than practitioner-level autonomy. No degree or advanced professional S&C accreditation is required for the assessed scope.
