The Learning Experience Manager is responsible for leading and developing our team of talented Tutor Practitioners, enabling us to continue to pioneer future-fit Digital & Green Skills training provision. The Learning Experience Manager will work with the Tutors to ensure the delivery of high-quality training, learning, and assessment across our Digital & Skills provision. This role is crucial in fostering an outstanding learning environment and supporting participant success and progression.

The Learning Experience Manager will work with the Tutors to ensure the delivery of high-quality training, learning, and assessment across our Digital & Skills provision. This role is crucial in fostering an outstanding learning environment and supporting participant success and progression.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management of Tutors
- Provide clear leadership, guidance, and support to a team of tutors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, appraisals, and performance reviews, identifying areas for development and setting performance targets.
- Manage the Tutor Skills Matrix in consultation with the Product Manager, seeking opportunities to challenge and upskill individual tutors.
- Support the People Manager in the recruitment, induction, and retention of tutors
- Manage team workload, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective delivery of programmes.
Quality Assurance of Teaching, Learning & Assessment
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment delivered by the team through observations, learner feedback, and data analysis.
- Implement and oversee quality assurance and moderation processes to ensure consistency and adherence to awarding organisation standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in teaching practices, learning outcomes, and participant experience.
- Ensure all programmes are \”inspection ready\” at all times.
Curriculum Oversight & Development
- Work with the Product Manager on the development, review, and updating of product content and delivery models.
- Ensure that the programme content meets the needs of participants, employers, and external stakeholders, aligning with sector trends in digital and green skills.
- Promote innovative and engaging teaching and learning strategies across the team.
Participant Support & Progression
- Lead the Positive Outcomes work of iungo Solutions, engaging with employers and creating progression opportunities for participants.
- Oversee the pastoral care and learning progress of participants.
- Ensure participant attendance, retention, and achievement is recorded and continually monitored, and provide timely interventions where needed.
- Work collaboratively with the Operations Team to ensure participants receive appropriate additional learning support and guidance.
Administrative & Compliance
- Conduct tutor observations and maintain accurate records relating to tutor performance, participant progress, and programme delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, safeguarding procedures, health and safety regulations, and external awarding organisation requirements.
- Ensure internal standards for assessment, quality assurance and claims are met.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification in a subject area related to the curriculum.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training).
- A relevant management qualification (desirable).
Experience
- Experience of teaching/tutoring in a Further Education setting.
- Proven experience of leading, mentoring, or managing a team of teaching staff.
- Experience in curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
- Demonstrable track record of improving participant outcomes and experience.
Skills & Attributes
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a team.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with tutors, participants, and external stakeholders.
- Organisational & Planning: Highly organised with excellent planning, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Pedagogical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of effective teaching, learning, and assessment methodologies in FE.
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyse performance data, identify trends, and use insights to drive improvement.
- IT Proficiency: Strong IT skills, including proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and relevant educational technologies.
- Participant-Centred Approach: A genuine commitment to participant success, wellbeing, and an inclusive learning environment.
- Adaptability: Flexible and proactive approach to managing change and innovation within the education sector.
- Safeguarding: A strong understanding and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
Desirable
- Experience in the specific digital or green skills sectors relevant to iungo Academy.
- Experience with blended or online learning delivery models.
- Knowledge of international education standards and consumer needs.
