Role Description This is a part-time, on-site role based for a self-employed cleaner. Day-to-day tasks include general cleaning duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing surfaces, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, and emptying bins. The cleaner will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene, following any specific client instructions, and ensuring all areas are left tidy and presentable. Additional duties may include changing bed linens, doing laundry, and occasional ironing if this is a service you can offer. The role involves traveling to different client locations in Redhill, Reigate, Dorking, Oxted, Horley, Crawley, Horsham, Billingshurst, East Grinstead , managing appointments, and communicating clearly with clients about schedules and requirements.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in domestic or commercial cleaning, with knowledge of standard cleaning methods and use of cleaning products.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Good time management skills, including the ability to plan routes, keep appointments, and work efficiently without direct supervision.
- Professional communication skills for interacting with clients, understanding their needs, and handling feedback constructively.
- Physical ability to carry out manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to reach client locations.
- Willingness to follow health and safety guidelines, including safe product use and appropriate protective equipment when needed.
- Basic English language skills to understand instructions & communicate with clients.
