Primary Responsibilities
- Working in a busy warehouse you will be responsible for goods handling and inventory control activities.
- Taking delivery of goods/supplies, maintaining delivery and collection records, packing and loading goods for dispatch and general housekeeping for the warehouse area.
- Inspection and Quality control
- Any other reasonable and relevant duties as and when required
Health & Safety
- Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in your working area (5s)
- Actively participate in Focus Groups
- Ensure all guarding and safety equipment is in place and used when needed
- Personal protective equipment to be worn when required including safety glasses, steel toe cap boots etc.
- Report all health and safety or maintenance issues
- Ensure health and safety requirements are met and understand all relevant safety regulations
Experience And Skills
- Must have experience with Reach Truck and if possible Overhead Crane
- This role requires a high level of accuracy
- Warehouse experience and be computer literate.
- A valid UK driving licence as well as a current counterbalance and reach truck forklift licence are essential.
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Effective communication skills
- Motivated individual who is flexible and willing to learn continuous best practice
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational, time management and attention to detail skills
- Comfortable in being able work alone and/or within a team environment, contributing and sharing best practices, resources and ideas in order to continually improve
