We are looking for an Acquisitions Executive to join our Content Acquisitions team, supporting the sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of premium content across film, children's, scripted, and non-scripted programming.

The Role: As an Acquisitions Executive, you will support ITV's content acquisition activity across both linear and streaming platforms. Working closely with the Content Acquisitions Manager and Head of Acquisitions, you will help secure high-quality content for ITV's channels and ITVX, while building strong working relationships with studios, distributors, and content partners.

The role will support content partnerships and pre-buy initiatives, contributing to partner discussions, deal negotiations, and the development of collaborative opportunities that strengthen ITV's content pipeline across film, series, and children's programming. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Sourcing and evaluating content opportunities across film, kids, scripted, and non-scripted genres
  • Supporting licensing, pre-buy, and partnership negotiations with studios, distributors, and content owners
  • Contributing to partnership discussions and collaborative opportunities with content partners
  • Monitoring industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging markets
  • Supporting co-production and pre-buy opportunities, particularly in series and children's programming
  • Drafting deal memos and working closely with Legal & Business Affairs on contract terms
  • Tracking deal delivery, rights exploitation, and internal approvals
  • Maintaining accurate acquisition, contract, and rights records in internal systems
  • Building and maintaining relationships with international studios, distributors, and sales agents
  • Attending markets, festivals, and industry events to support business development
  • Working closely with Programming, Scheduling, Marketing, Streaming, Legal, Finance, and Press teams to maximise content across platforms
  • Supporting reports, presentations, and business cases for senior stakeholders
  • Assisting with pipeline planning and monitoring budgets for assigned projects

What We're Looking For:

Skills you'll need (Minimum role criteria):

  • Experience in content acquisitions, distribution, or commissioning within a broadcaster, streaming platform, or distributor
  • Experience negotiating or supporting deals across TVOD and EST windows
  • Understanding of licensing, rights management, and deal structures
  • Experience supporting negotiations and working with external partners
  • Knowledge of linear and streaming content strategies
  • Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail
