We are looking for a Transport Operative to join our Site Ops team in Trafford Wharf Road. The role involves providing excellent service in the provision of transport and supporting services, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to roadworthy standard and rigorously checked and recorded to meet all legal requirements. It is essential to ensure that all drivers of vehicles are qualified and trained to drive in a safe manner and to guarantee high standards of the Transport Department are maintained at all times.
Some Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination, maintenance and supply of a fleet in excess of 260 vehicles.
- Able to confidently, efficiently and politely deal with Staff, Senior Management, Producers and Production Crews/Contractors.
- Deal with specific requests for vehicles which may be out of the ordinary.
- Liaise with Clients and third party suppliers.
- Source Vehicles to meet client needs/requests.
- Book Vehicles and hand over to client, including vehicle familiarisation etc.
- Check vehicles back in “off hire” and check for damage etc.
- Carry out driving license checks.
- Complete & process relevant paperwork and charges etc.
- Enter into the IT system, report & follow up accidents to the insurance Company.
- Ensure that the department's processes and procedures are followed.
- Take a proactive role in assisting management to ensure all processes and procedures are up to date and fit for purpose.
- Assist with regular basic vehicle inspections on the fleet including relevant paperwork.
- Co-coordinating/Driving duties on Coronation St and other Productions/departments.
- General driving duties as required.
- Wash/Clean Vehicles.
- Fuel Vehicles.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria):
- Strong IT skills
- Clean UK driving license
- Flexible approach to working hours in order to meet Departmental/Production commitments

- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Please note this role requires you to work short notice overtime to sustain Production demands. Some long distance travelling may be required in order to assist vehicle movements.
