The team & The role

In this role, you will support Dubbing Editors and Dubbing Mixers working at Coronation Street. You will gain hands-on experience in preparing and editing audio elements including dialogue, music and sound effects, helping ensure sessions are organised and ready for final mixing. You will learn the craft of audio post-production and how sound contributes to storytelling, performance and atmosphere. Training and development will be provided, with opportunities to observe final mixes and develop your technical skills in a professional broadcast environment.

Skills you’ll need

  • A thorough knowledge of Avid ProTools in the Post-production environment.
  • A demonstrable interest in developing a career in TV post production (audio), particularly within continuing drama.
  • A passion for audio post production and a proven ability to critically evaluate audio quality and identify issues using professional tools and workflows.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify complex audio, often working under time constraints.
  • A willingness to learn and quickly become proficient with professional audio recording and editing software.

  • An appreciation for how sound contributes to narrative and a desire to tell a story through audio.
  • An ability to work collaboratively and effectively with the director, producers, other members of the post-production team.
  • Organisational Skills.
  • Work in a fast paced environment, maintaining a high level of confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical or editorial challenges.
  • Strong team player with the ability to develop good working relationships.
