The role involves working within ITV's Group Technology Department, focusing on the delivery of a wide range of technology projects. The Portfolio & Resource Management team collaborates with Group Technology Leadership to define and execute a roadmap of project initiatives that maximises the value of ITV's technology investments.
The Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans, including key milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Establishing project governance and communication plans.
- Communicating project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders.
- Providing effective leadership to the project team.
- Adopting appropriate project management methods and tools.
- Managing the change control process and assessing and managing project dependencies.
- Ensuring project and product quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedures.
- Ensuring that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale, and resource budgets, and are formally accepted by appropriate stakeholders.
- Monitoring costs, times, quality, and resources used and taking action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
- Working with 3rd party service providers in planning, implementing, and integrating solutions from multiple vendors.
- Adapting to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Skills required include:
- Solid project management skills with proven delivery credentials.
- Experience using Agile and Hybrid Project Management methodologies.
- Excellent team management skills within a matrix organisation structure.
- Demonstrable relationship building with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and confident in interacting independently with stakeholders.
- Experience working with technical stakeholders.
- Strong supplier and third-party management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Project Management Accreditation (Prince2, Agile, PMI, etc.).
