Workplace: White City, London - Hybrid 8 Month Fixed-Term Contract

We are looking for a Media Systems Analyst to join us on an 8-month fixed-term contract. As a Media Systems Analyst you will be responsible for supporting systems and applications that form part of ITV Studios programme and content creation as well as supporting the Media Systems Specialist in their duties. You’ll assist in the support of ITV Studios technology and provide services and support to the wider customer base.

The team We’re global and local, producing in 13 countries across 60+ labels in the UK, US, Australia, France, Germany, The Nordics, Italy and more. Together with creators, producers, global networks and streamers, we’re behind the scenes of some of the greatest genres, bringing thousands of hours of entertainment to everyone everywhere.

Responsibilities:

  • Shift based, support the team to timely log, diagnose and resolve incidents on core ITV Studios technology
  • Triage incidents coming into the production technology support team
  • Escalate incidents as appropriately
  • Systems administration of ITV Studios technology, including:
  • User management
  • Daily system checks
  • Backups / Data wrangling
  • Media / Files management
  • Manage system capacity as appropriate
  • Maintain system documentation
  • Support production media workflows ensuring ITV data policies are adhered to
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the ITV production labels
  • Occasional weekend working may be required with advanced notice.
  • Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria):

    • Experience in a Media or Broadcasting background
    • Strong understanding and experience of Windows, Linux and MacOS
    • Experience in a customer service / Helpdesk / Technical Support role
    • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Signiant/Sohonet, ShotPut Pro or Vantage
    • Knowledge of MAM systems
    • Excellent understanding of computers, both hardware and software, with a proven willingness to learn and apply new technologies.

    Other things we’re looking for (key criteria):

    • An understanding of media file technologies and standards – Codecs, bit rates
    • Working knowledge of current camera technologies
    • Knowledge of transcoding systems and workflows
    • Strong and effective problem solving skills with the ability to work well under pressure
    • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
    • Positive, can do attitude with the ability to work both independently and as a team
