The team: The ITV Studios UK division operates a partnering-led finance structure, reporting into the Finance Director - ITV Studios UK. This structure is supported by the Studios UK Finance Hub, a centralised finance function providing analytical support, accounting and reporting and the Production Finance Hub providing production finance support across Scripted and Unscripted productions.

The role: We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Production Finance Manager to join us on a 12 month fixed term basis. As our dedicated Production Finance Manager in Scripted, you will be at the financial helm of ITV's dynamic in-house drama productions, driving the success of a diverse and ambitious slate. Reporting to the Head of Production Finance - Scripted, you will provide expert production finance oversight across every stage of the production lifecycle. This role offers the chance to be a trusted advisor, a key connector across departments, and a champion of robust financial governance that enables creative excellence to thrive.

Some of your key day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Recruit, lead, and mentor a team of freelance Production Accountants, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Act as the central finance liaison between Production, Finance, Business Affairs, and external partners to ensure seamless support.
  • Provide trusted financial guidance to senior production leaders to help deliver high-quality scripted content.
  • Support Production Management in preparing and reviewing budgets aligned with strategic goals.
  • Oversee cost reporting to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial updates for decision-making.
  • Manage the full production lifecycle: onboarding freelance accountants, configuring systems (payroll, PAYE, VAT), tracking spend, projecting cash flow, and closing out productions.
  • Deliver finance support throughout the production cycle as needed.
  • Implement and maintain strong governance and cash management controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Collaborate with the HETV Financial Accountant to provide required data for AVEC claims and audit processes.
  • Review and approve production payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria):

  • Extensive experience in scripted production finance.
  • Deep understanding of scripted production processes.
  • Proficient in using scripted production finance tools.
  • Proven leadership skills with a strong track record of managing, mentoring, and developing teams.

Other things we're looking for (key criteria):

  • Experience working within an organisation with multiple labels would be advantageous.
  • Experience collaborating with a large Global Finance Operations (GFO) team would be greatly beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Confident team player, skilled at building relationships across all seniority levels.
  • Highly organised, proactive, with strong attention to detail and a results-focused mindset.
