We’re looking for a Product Analyst to join ITV’s Commercial Technology & Change organisation and play a key role in shaping and delivering data-focused products and capabilities that support ITV’s Commercial business. As a Product Analyst, you’ll help shape, define and support the delivery of data-focused initiatives and capabilities across ITV’s Commercial Technology landscape. You’ll play an important role throughout the full product lifecycle, from shaping ideas and defining requirements through to delivery, acceptance, transition and continuous improvement.

We’re seeking someone who is naturally curious, analytical and collaborative, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable requirements and solutions. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Product, Data Engineering, QA and business teams to support the successful delivery and operational adoption of data products and capabilities.

The team Commercial Technology & Change (CT&C) is a key group within ITV’s Media & Entertainment business, with several software and data engineering teams responsible for defining and overseeing the operational aspects across our strategic pillars driving innovation with a focus on delivery value to our business. Responsibilities

  • Scoping & Shaping: Scope and shape key data-focused initiatives, creating high-level briefs covering data products, tools, capabilities and supporting business operations. Apply creativity, logic and judgement to develop solutions and approaches that best meet business outcomes.
  • Definition & Delivery: Define clear product and capability requirements, working closely with Data Engineering, QA, business teams and suppliers where required. Review and validate technical data design deliverables and implementation approaches. Define fit-for-purpose criteria, including non-functional requirements, data quality standards and acceptance criteria with QA teams. Ensure legal, cybersecurity and data governance requirements are considered throughout delivery.
  • Agile Delivery & Acceptance: Support the development and iteration of data products and capabilities through Agile delivery processes, driving understanding and alignment across cross-functional teams. Support data quality acceptance activities and participate in defect triage, clarification and resolution processes.
  • Transition & Support: Provide guidance, training and expertise to support the transition of data products into smooth operational use across business teams. Respond to support queries relating to data products and capabilities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for future product iterations and enhancements through feedback, product usage insights and business value analysis.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and simple manner, particularly around data focused concepts.
  • Data querying skills required (SQL or equivalent), with additional coding knowledge being a nice to have (e.g. Python).
  • Keen problem solver demonstrating logic and curiosity.
  • Some experience of understanding / working with data requirements.

  • Experience of working in cross-functional teams, ideally delivering scalable, robust data products.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders.
  • Experience within the digital advertising / media ecosystem, ideally with experience of TV/ Streaming.
  • Experience of working in fast-moving, agile environments.
  • Knowledge of the UK broadcast industry & broadcast/OTT advertising market.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms.
