The team commissions some of the nation's much-loved Entertainment shows such as Britain's Got Talent, I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and The Voice UK. We are also responsible for iconic events such as The Royal Variety Performance, the BRIT Awards, The National Television Awards, Soccer Aid and many more.
ITV is looking for an ambitious, proactive, visually-minded Commissioning Assistant to join our Entertainment and Reality team. This is an entry-to-junior level role designed for someone who is obsessed with pop culture, possesses sharp technical skills (including the use of AI tools), and is eager to learn the inner workings of commissioning at the UK's largest commercial broadcaster.
Key Responsibilities
- Visual Storytelling: Turning rough concepts into slick, professional presentations using PowerPoint and Google Slides.
- Content Creation: Using Photoshop, AI tools (Gemini, Canva, etc.) and video editing software to create mood reels, mock-up graphics, and pitch assets.
- Trend & Talent Research: Scouring social media, podcasts, and international formats to identify "the next big thing" or the perfect new face for an ITV show.
- Team Support: Acting as a central hub for the Commissioning team, helping to organise research briefs and keeping our development slate visually updated and organised.
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
- Experience of building slide decks utilising platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite and AI Software, such as Gemini.
- Passion for broadcast media, and an awareness of emerging trends in the social media landscape.
