The Role
In this role, you will provide support and workflow delivery to the PS&T Team while supporting technical operations of Multistory Media - Daytime production output, which includes Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women, and ensure defined media workflows are carried out. The role will ensure that the best working practices are adhered to, in line with ITV policies, across all productions going through the Multistory Media Studios production unit. The role will support the delivery of technically efficient workflows from capture through to final delivery across all production output.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Demonstrable advanced Technology expertise in Network Administration.
- Advanced knowledge with virtualised technology (VMWare preferred).
- Advanced Media Management & Post-production workflow support and consulting for bespoke file delivery workflows.
- Awareness and expertise working with Broadcast and Media Technology workflows.
- Experience working with computers and networked systems and understand associated terminology.
- Understanding of Post Production and Media Ingest / file based workflows.
- Ability to work with a Ticketing system or similar process for job or support requests.
- Strong skills around the documentation of Technical procedures and maintaining live documents for peers.
- Awareness around File asset management and archive solutions, including media management of these high value assets for business needs.
- Ability to support Network administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS & DHCP, and similar network tooling.
- Experience supporting Dell VxRail stack.

- Creativity and/or Problem Solving: You will be a self-starting, highly motivated individual with a dynamic approach to Technology solutions. Experience in proactively identifying, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent communication. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, support with and communicate processes for the acquisition and management of media. Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical production users.
- Planning & Organising: Exceptional attention to detail. Proven experience in multitasking and prioritising issues affecting live broadcast. Proven capacity to work quickly and effectively under pressure. Experience in leading the creation and maintenance of clear and concise procedural documentation. Proven technical expertise in informing the development and implementation of live broadcast contingency plans.
- Technical Skills & Knowledge: You will have a high level of experience working in a Technical team and have knowledge of familiar digital broadcast industry toolsets. You will have a strong understanding of data Traffic within a network environment and will be familiar with associated terminology. You will have an understanding of Hierarchical Storage Management Archive and how it relates to production workflows. You will understand key production industry file based workflows. You will have a working awareness of Technology associated kit, such as connectors, relevant cables and peripheral equipment. You will have a higher focus of Tech specialism within the department towards digital broadcast workflows.
- Leadership & Management or Working with Others: Strong leadership and teamwork skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively with production users, providing effective and timely technical support.
