The team
The Legal & Content Compliance team is responsible for ensuring that all of ITV’s content complies its legal and regulatory requirements. The team works closely with a range of internal teams, and with independent production companies who produce content for us. We work in a fast paced environment to deliver creative solutions to challenging issues.
The role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Junior Team Assistant to join our Group Legal team on a permanent contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their administrative career, particularly with an interest in a legal or media environment. You will provide essential administrative support to the Director of Legal and Content Compliance, Head of the Complaints Handling Unit and the wider team, reporting directly to the PA for the General Counsel and the Director of Legal and Content Compliance. You will be key in helping the team run smoothly by handling coordination tasks and providing reliable administrative assistance.
This position is ideal for someone who is a proactive learner, highly organised, and keen to develop professional skills in a dynamic media environment.
Some of your key day to day responsibilities will include:
- Manage diaries, meeting requests, agenda and help monitor the inbox for the Director of Legal and Content Compliance and Head of the Complaints Handling Unit.
- Coordinate conference calls, virtual meetings (using Google Hangouts), and in-office meetings, including room bookings and guest hospitality.
- Prepare and distribute agendas and meeting minutes for internal team meetings.
- Assist the team by performing general office administration and ad hoc tasks as required.
- Prepare and update presentations using Google Slides/PowerPoint from existing templates and clear notes.
- Help maintain a tidy and organised electronic and physical filing system.
- Process purchase orders and track basic invoices.
- Support day-to-day administrative legal tasks.
- Organise travel, accommodation, and complete expense claims using Oracle.
- Provide initial assistance with onboarding and offboarding processes, such as collecting IT returns.
- Assist with distributing legal alerts including reporting restrictions and court notifications.
- Perform research and other ad-hoc administrative and legal compliance tasks as required.
- Accurately type and handle routine confidential documents and correspondence.
- Act as a professional contact point for internal queries and liaise with various teams across ITV.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Prior experience in an administrative support role (e.g., as an office assistant or administrator)
- Proven organisational and administration skills within a Legal or Regulatory setting, ideally supporting a litigation or Compliance focused team.
- An interest in the legal, regulatory, or media industry
