The Team: ITV Studios is one of the biggest global creators, producers and distributors of TV content in the world. Studios Technology at ITV Studios underpins the creation, management, and distribution of world-class content. The team enables creative excellence and operational efficiency across our scripted and unscripted labels by delivering scalable, production workflows using cloud, data, AI, media asset management, and post production tooling. Working closely with production, commercial, and creative partners, Studios Technology ensures that innovation in technology directly powers ITV Studios’ storytelling ambitions worldwide.
The role: Reporting to the Director of Technology, The Head of Product, for Studios Production Technology, will define and oversee the strategic vision and roadmap for ITV Studios’ production technology, from ideation to archive, but excluding sales. It will drive prioritisation across initiatives, foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, and embed a modern product management approach across the Studios technology team. Supporting ITV Studios’ continued growth and creative ambition.
Minimum Criteria:
- Proven ability to define and oversee the delivery of a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with business and technology goals.
- Adept at technology strategy and roadmap development.
- Strong business change experience, with demonstrable delivery of technology-based transformation.
- Experience working in the Media/Entertainment sector and a robust understanding of end-to-end television production workflows.
- Proven ability to lead and influence creative, operational, and technology stakeholders to align around a shared product vision.
- Experience shaping and articulating a case for product investment based on value, outcomes, and user benefits.
- Experience of product development and product development lifecycles.
- Familiarity with production management systems, media asset management, post-production tools, and cloud-based production platforms.
- Skilled in prioritising and delivering complex product portfolios.
- Proven track record of working in complex systems environments with a combination of internal technology teams (direct and matrix), significant use of third-party SaaS, and outsourced suppliers/partners.
- Awareness of emerging production technologies (e.g. remote production, cloud-based production workflows, virtual production, data- and AI-assisted workflows).
- Competence in budget management, resource planning, and cost control.
- Proven track record of building a high-performing cross-functional technology team.
- Ability to foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
