This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about television, streaming and media to help shape the future of advertising and insight at ITV.

We’re seeking someone with strong analytical and storytelling skills who can combine research, data analysis and commercial understanding to deliver meaningful insights for both internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll work across a variety of projects including effectiveness studies, sponsorship research, campaign measurement, thought leadership and commercial reporting, while also helping evolve ITV’s approach to digital measurement, automation and cross-platform insight.

The team

ITV is on a mission to Supercharge Streaming and Optimise Broadcast with data and insight right at the centre of our digital transformation strategy.

The business faces many challenges ahead to achieve this vision: What content should we commission?

What should our marketing strategy be?

How do we optimise our product to improve view through rates?

How do we use VOD (Video on Demand) to offset declines to Linear TV?

Whatever the question, ITV Insights is here to lead the business to its most successful future by putting insight with integrity, ingenuity, and impact, at the heart of every key decision.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and deliver insights, reporting and presentations that underpin key commercial outputs such as Monthly Debriefs and Killer Stats, presenting findings across the business.
  • Support major effectiveness, sponsorship and thought leadership studies from commissioning through to final presentation and delivery.
  • Represent Commercial Insights at client presentations, agency days, commercial roadshows, webinars and industry events to showcase ITV’s commercial opportunities.
  • Support strategic projects related to digital measurement and campaign effectiveness, including You Tube effectiveness studies and cross-platform measurement initiatives.
  • Ensure ITV is represented within relevant industry initiatives focused on cross-platform planning and measurement solutions, keeping internal stakeholders informed on developments.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Insights Data Analyst to identify opportunities for reporting optimisation, automation and dashboard creation.
  • Analyse complex datasets including Barb and ITVX first-party server data to uncover insights that support commercial revenue growth.
  • Partner with commercial teams in a consultancy-style capacity, providing insight and strong sales arguments to support both short and long-term projects.
  • Ensure insight and research findings are communicated effectively across internal and external channels including ITV Media, Linked In, newsletters and internal platforms.
  • Contribute to wider ITV Insights team initiatives and help foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • At least 3+ years’ experience within an insights, research, analytics or media-focused role.

  • Experience working with media research datasets and tools such as Barb, Tech Edge, Telmar, Touchpoints and You Gov.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear commercial insight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and workload management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to build strong collaborative relationships across teams and stakeholders.
