About Zoo 55
Zoo 55 is an ITV Studios company established to drive global audience expansion and commercial growth across the digital media ecosystem. Operating at the intersection of content, culture, and technology, Zoo 55 creates, curates, and distributes ITV Studios’ iconic IP across four core pillars: FAST & DTC, Social Video, Gaming & Gambling (including Metavision), and Digital Marketing. Joining Zoo 55 means working in an agile, high-velocity environment alongside industry-leading creative and technical talent to scale world-class media platforms globally.
The Team
Global Partnerships Technology works in direct alignment with Zoo 55 to build the next generation of scalable media distribution platforms. The Zoo 55 Tech Squad is a dedicated delivery team established to industrialise foundational media workflows, eliminate manual operational drag, and build the scalable infrastructure required to support expanding global media operations. The team is responsible for delivering Phase 1 technical enhancements, including a Central Work Board, Cloud NAS infrastructure, an Ingest Portal, and automated pre-match media scripting.
The Role
Agile professionals and technical analysts across ITV are accountable for helping to validate whether we are working on the right goals in the right way. Combining technical business analysis with agile delivery management, this role bridges business operations and platform engineering. Working directly with Zoo 55 leads and Group Technology engineers, the role-holder will map operational workflows, translate business pain points into executable technical user stories, and manage day-to-day sprint delivery for the dedicated Zoo 55 delivery backlog.
Main Responsibilities
- Requirements & Process Mapping: Map as-is and to-be operational workflows across media ingest, social video, and asset distribution, capturing clear business requirements.
- User Story & Backlog Creation: Translate operational pain points into detailed functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and executable Jira epics/stories for platform engineers.
- Workflow Tool Configuration: Configure digital workspaces (e.g. Monday.com tracking boards) and assist with everyday operational tooling governance.
- Enterprise Change Requests (CRs): Define functional requirements and draft Change Requests (CRs) for upstream enterprise systems (such as Rightsline and Salesforce).
- Delivery Management: Responsible for the end-to-end delivery and day-to-day management of the Zoo 55 team's backlog using agile methodologies.
- Agile Events: Run agile events including sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and daily standups.
- Blocker Removal: Day-to-day priority setting for the team, ensuring team members remain motivated and able to deliver by removing technical and operational blockers where they arise.
- Agile Metrics: Use data-driven agile metrics such as velocity and burndown charts in Jira to track and improve team performance and predictability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Provide timely and regular communication with stakeholders across Group Technology and Zoo 55, highlighting dependencies, risks, and mitigations.
- Dependency Coordination: Manage work and dependencies across internal ITV teams and external partner vendors.
- Service Transition: Ensure delivered work across the Central Work Board and Ingest Portal is appropriately documented and transitioned to operational teams.
- Delivery Governance: Track project deliverables to ensure resource utilisation remains efficient and aligned with approved squad delivery plans.
