Technology Full Time/ Permanent Office location: ITV White City (hybrid working that includes office presence on a weekly basis, occasional travel to Leeds)

Hiring range: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum

The Team

Our Product Managers build, implement and evolve products that are desirable, feasible, viable and sustainable. They lead and facilitate cross-functional teams to determine customer needs and develop product roadmaps and features, prioritising the roadmap and backlog to deliver key aspects of ITV’s strategy and vision, driving customer, commercial and technical outcomes. We are looking for a new Product Manager to join our existing product capability, to help us evolve our portfolio through the use of low-code platforms such as Airtable. The aim is to build out products and services to support our business and operational teams to work in a more systemised, automated, digital process and increase their efficiency and ability to be data-guided. Delivering the most value for ITV from our efforts is paramount. Our product managers work with business and operational stakeholders and senior teams to understand the problems that need to be solved. Working with software engineers and suppliers, you will develop and manage the product roadmap to ensure the product backlog is aligned to deliver on ITV’s strategic goals and have validated features, built with as little waste as possible.

The Role

As a Product Manager you’ll need to care passionately about your subject area and strive to provide a brilliant service to our colleagues and viewers. You’ll be part of driving ITV’s transformation into a truly digital business and embedding a culture of innovation. Using a structured approach to ideation, prototyping, and testing, you will drive innovation and create solutions that deliver business value. In this role, you will define the vision and direction for a product, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market trends, and business goals. You will need to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders while ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and business guidelines. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will exceed customer expectations to enhance satisfaction, loyalty and advocacy. Additionally, you will test and iterate early versions of products and features, gathering feedback to optimize and improve outcomes.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Working closely with other product managers in related domains on shared objectives across teams
  • Prioritising and organising tasks derived from the roadmap and their outcomes
  • Prioritising which features or functionalities should be developed and released, based on their potential value to the customer and business
  • Understanding of user behaviours, needs, and motivations through observation techniques, task analysis, and other feedback methodologies
  • Ensuring we meet or exceed customer expectations and increase customer satisfaction, loyalty and advocacy
  • Measuring and monitoring product and operational data, identifying methodological best practices to conduct analysis and inform product development.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Experience working with low-code platforms such as Airtable is essential - building out bases and applications to deliver efficient business solutions
  • Qualifications in a technical field or practical experience working with technical teams
  • Analytical and data analysis skills, as well as using research, market analysis and vendor evaluations to guide product strategy and roadmaps
  • Defines problem statements and creates solutions, displaying the attention to detail to provide an excellent service
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies and the value they can bring to enterprise technology and the transformation of business processes
  • Experience building software products or integrating with SaaS products; and experience of prioritising multiple competing objectives and gaining consensus across stakeholder groups, especially operational teams
  • Excellent ability to communicate information, including oral and written presentations, proposals, specifications, and reports, tailored to a specific audience with a compelling narrative and ability to dive in detail with delivery teams and users

  • Working on a supply chain within the media and entertainment industry, processing media for linear and VoD services
