We are seeking a dynamic and strategic People Director – Talent, Learning & Development to lead our resourcing and people development centre of expertise/excellence. This pivotal role will shape and execute our Resourcing & Development strategy, which is a key enabler of our Group People strategy. This role ensures the organisation attracts, retains, and develops great diverse talent to meet current and future business needs, while fostering an inclusive culture with continuous learning and professional growth. The successful candidate will drive innovation in resourcing and development, aligning both to the broader people strategy and strategic business goals. The role will provide strategic Recruitment, Learning & Development, Talent, Performance Management, Organisation Design and Development. The role reports to the Chief People Officer and supports the ExCo and People Leadership Team to enable the delivery of the ITV People Strategy and Plan.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership Summary
- Lead resourcing and development strategy aligned with business goals.
- Advise senior leaders on talent and organizational development.
- Build stakeholder partnerships to optimize R&D services.
- Lead a high-performing team across OD, talent, engagement, and wellbeing.
- Organisation Effectiveness: Org Design & Development
- Lead ITV’s OD framework and Centre of Expertise, advising the CPO and driving group-wide OD and culture initiatives.
- Support transformation and change projects with Divisional HRDs.
- Develop and deliver the Culture Strategy, guide ExCo on culture changes, and update PLC on progress.
- Continuously improve People processes using innovation and AI for efficiency and best practice.
- Recruitment – Attraction, Selection & Onboarding
- Lead recruitment for 650+ diverse, values-aligned hires annually.
- Drive inclusive practices and automation for efficiency.
- Use talent analytics to guide decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and People Directors on workforce planning.
- Talent and succession planning, Engagement measurement and performance management
- Lead strategy for talent management, succession planning, engagement measurement, and performance management aligned with business goals.
- Oversee continuous improvement of performance processes to boost individual and business outcomes.
- Collaborate with Divisional People Directors to build diverse succession plans with development for identified successors.
- Report succession insights to the Nominations Committee alongside CPO and CEO.
- Drive leadership pipelines via accelerated development program.
