The predicted salary is between 15.3 - 18.7 £ per hour.
Workplace: London - studio/office
In this varied and busy role, you’ll be working across Lorraine, Loose Women and This Morning. You’ll be involved in the booking of newsmaking guests and exclusives, as well as both serious and light-hearted human interest stories. You’ll need to be a tenacious self-starter with an impressive contacts book. You will have a journalistic background and excellent knowledge of current affairs, especially of the issues that matter to our viewers.
You’ll need to have an excellent grasp of the Ofcom Broadcasting Code and be proficient in overcoming legal hurdles to produce compliant items. You’ll be a team player, working collaboratively with other members of the Newsdesk, as well as with different departments across the programmes. You must also have experience of working in a live broadcast environment. Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Journalistic experience within the broadcast industry
- Experience in a live television environment
- Experience of booking newsmaking guests
- Strong understanding of current affairs, topical stories and trends
- Ideas creation and experience generating a constant stream of ideas
- Working experience and strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (H&S, Data Protection, OFCOM and ITV Editorial Policy)
- Strong understanding and adherence to duty of care protocols
- Understanding of what makes good TV
