The role

You’ll be a vital problem-solver, working collaboratively across teams to ensure our productions run efficiently and sustainably. If you have strong practical skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the enthusiasm to hit the ground running in a supportive, high-energy environment, we want to hear from you. Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Good administrative and record-keeping skills, with an understanding of the inventory process of goods in and out within a prop store.
  • This role will involve carrying, manoeuvring and organising heavy props and furniture on a daily basis. You must have the knowledge and experience of how to lift and carry safely.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to set design and prop storage environments.
  • The ability to work both independently unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and progress within the Props Department, and a passion for the job and all that it entails with positivity and enthusiasm.
  • Full Clean driving licence (or equivalent arrangements as part of a reasonable adjustment where a disability has been disclosed).

  • Strong practical abilities and competent in basic DIY & use of tools.
  • Possess strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise confidently with Prop Buyers, the Design team, and wider production staff.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment, managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • A good working knowledge of Coronation Street and its sets and characters.
  • Willingness and ability to step into other roles within the Props team if required.
