Interview and adjustments
Newsrooms are busy and pressurised environments, involving live news production and quick decisions under pressure. We may test initiative and research abilities at the interview stage to understand how candidates will react in a newsroom. We will always consider reasonable adjustments as part of the interview process. For example, sharing key themes when requested in connection with a neurodivergent condition, while still ensuring we test a candidate’s ability to operate in the newsroom.
Application process and policy
At ITV, we value the use of technology for research during the application process. We recognise that AI tools, including ChatGPT, can be useful resources, but we expect applicants to showcase their own thoughts and experiences.
