role responsibility

The Team Leader – Kitchen, known as TLK, leads our itsu kitchen and works closely with the shop management team. This role has a full understanding and is a part of ensuring a smooth running of our kitchen operation during the daily production. The Team Leader – Kitchen is responsible for the production of beautiful food accordance with our standards and in line with the business needs while supporting the training and development of their team. Their performance is measured against the KPIs for the shop and their day-to-day responsibilities, as detailed below.

Scope of the role

Team Leader Kitchen – Β£30,000 per annum + bonus, up to 15%

The Team Leader Kitchen supports the management team in running a smooth operation by fully understanding and knowledge of the kitchen operations and managing the daily production. The Team Leader Kitchen is responsible for producing beautiful food according to itsu standards and in line with the business needs, and they support the training and development of their team. Performance is measured against the KPIs for their shop (Champions League) and their job description responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the team by promoting and living itsu qualities whilst encouraging cross-training between different sections to maintain a smooth operation at all times.
  • Ensure the Quality Systems Diary and Health & Safety Diary are managed and completed daily.
  • Work alongside Team Leader Service (TLS) and line manager to take ownership of all the kitchen sections to ensure the quality and service standards are met.
  • Support KM and GM in achieving EHO 5 stars.
  • Take control of ordering and stock counting when needed or requested by the line manager.
