The Safety Manager will lead all aspects of health and safety, food safety, and fire safety across all levels of itsu within shops and academy. Partnering with all departments, they will build, implement, and maintain a safety management system that complies with safety standards and legislation while also driving a positive safety culture of best practice ensuring itsu remains a leader of safety in the industry. They will support the Head of Safety in all matters of compliance and will be required to have an excellent understanding of safety standards and legislation. Providing a safe, clean, and legally compliant environment for everyone in our shops and ensuring the brand is protected through the delivery and monitoring of high standards.

Skill and Responsibility Overview

  • Leadership in Safety Management: Act as the accountable person for health, food, and fire safety across itsu, ensuring compliance with standards and legislation.
  • Policy and Procedure Oversight: Maintain and innovate itsu’s safety standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and nurture positive relationships with stakeholders across departments to drive a unified safety culture.
  • Compliance and Legislation: Monitor, evaluate, and implement health and safety legislation, ensuring itsu meets all legal requirements and standards.
  • Incident Management and Strategic Planning: Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, analyze trends, and develop strategic plans to enhance safety and compliance.

This is you

  • Level 4 food safety qualification holder
  • NEBOSH national general certificate holder
  • Experience liaising with local authority enforcement officers
  • Strong experience of designing, delivering, and managing cross-departmental projects
  • Highly conscientious and diligent
  • Experience in safety within a multi-site QSR or hospitality environment
