The ideal candidate:
- An experienced finance professional, ideally from a product-led or FMCG business
- Technically strong, process-driven, and passionate about systems, automation, and efficiency
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, able to build structure and controls under pressure
- Detail-oriented and collaborative, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders
- Confident communicator who can influence across all levels of the business
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills are preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight time frames
- Sage experience preferable
Scope of the role:
- Manage, develop, and mentor the transactional finance team.
- Keep accurate records, control reports and clean audit trails for the year-end financial audit
- Process and oversee all purchase and overheads invoices and expenses posting
- Be key point of contact for transactional queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Develop and provide monthly reporting on expense management, aged receivables and overdue payables
- Ensure AP & AR-related general ledger accounts finalisation, to be reviewed with FC on a monthly basis
- Provide input on monthly cash flow forecasting, as required.
- Prepare payment runs
- Supervise the supplier statements, account customers and bank reconciliations at month-end
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, to be reviewed with FC on a monthly basis
- Assist the FC in continuously improving the controls environment
- Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns
- Create and maintain manuals for finance procedures
- Ownership for the debit note process
