The ideal candidate should have experience of AP Ledger, ideally from a product-led or FMCG business. They should be process-driven and passionate about systems, automation, and efficiency. The candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, able to build structure and controls under pressure. They should be detail-oriented and collaborative, with the confidence to influence stakeholders. Intermediate or advanced Excel skills are desirable, along with the ability to work under pressure and within tight time frames. Sage experience is preferable.
Scope of the role includes:
- Assisting with all aspects of the purchase ledger; tasks include ensuring invoices and credit notes are processed on time, chasing outstanding invoices and credit notes, and resolving supplier issues.
- Participating in weekly bank reconciliations – posting transactions to Sage, allocating payments and receipts.
- Maintaining the Accounts email inbox – forwarding invoices for processing, reconciling supplier statements, and resolving or escalating supplier issues.
- Providing ad-hoc support to the wider team.
