We are looking for a highly motivated Full Stack Developer to join a large manufacturing organisation based near Brighouse, Yorkshire. You must have experience working in a full stack role using PHP, Laravel and WordPress. The company has increased its turnover consistently over the last 5 years and is growing its technology team. From custom WordPress development to performance optimisation and more, you'll play a key role in shaping the online experience for their customers and trade partners. Key objectives
- Custom WordPress Development â Build and maintain bespoke WordPress themes with a strong understanding of core WordPress functionalities.
- PHP & Laravel â Develop backend solutions and integrations using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
- FrontâEnd Development â Implement clean and efficient HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Version Control â Confidently work with GitHub for collaborative development and code management.
- Responsive & CrossâBrowser Compatibility â Ensure websites look and function perfectly across all devices and browsers.
- Server Management â Manage hosting environments like cPanel, troubleshoot serverârelated issues, and optimise website performance.
- API Integration â Work with RESTful APIs and thirdâparty services to enhance website functionality.
- Security & Performance Optimisation â Implement best practices for security, speed, and SEO.
- ProblemâSolving & Debugging â Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently to maintain site stability and quality.
Experience required
- Strong experience with PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
- Proven ability to build custom WordPress themes and work confidently with WordPress core.
- Excellent frontâend development skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Handsâon experience with GitHub for version control.
- Understanding of responsive design and crossâbrowser compatibility.
- Ability to manage server environments like cPanel.
- Familiarity with performance optimisation, security best practices, and SEO.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Bonus: Knowledge of WooCommerce and eCommerce integrations.
You will be based majority of the time remotely however you must be able to travel to the office in Brighouse around one day per week.
