Lead Software Developer – Milton Keynes – Hybrid (2 days in office) – Up to 85K + Bonus + 25 Days Holiday + 2 Wellbeing Days + Private Healthcare We are looking for a highly motivated Lead Software Developer to join an award winning software consultancy who work within both the public and private sectors with the head office in Milton Keynes. The technical team is comprised of over 40 individuals including Developers, Business Analysts, Software Testers, Product owners and Project Managers. This exciting opportunity will suit a experienced Senior or Lead Software Developer who is looking to have a tangible impact on this expanding and successful organisation. They employ over 120 people, turning over north of £25 million. They are a big believer in sharing thoughts and encouraging and supporting innovation and creativity. The Lead Software Developer will also be given the chance to be involved in all aspects of the project process from conception through to completion and launch. The environment is relaxed yet professional, gone are the days of a corporate rigid structure. The positions is hybrid with twice a week in office. Lead Software Developer Key Skills: * Scaled Agile Planning: Agile Framework (SAFe) principles, managing project increments and iterations to meet business goals. * Team Leadership: Mentor, guide, and support team members in both personal and technical growth. Provide feedback and development opportunities to enhance team performance and career progression. * Code & Architecture Oversight: Lead code and architecture reviews to maintain high standards and ensure consistency across projects. * Quality Assurance: Take ownership of the team\’s quality output, embedding robust practices for testing, code quality, and system reliability. * An appreciation and keen interest in AI. Lead Software Developer Tech Stack: * C# / .NET * Unit Testing & Integration Testing * CI/CD Pipeline Development (Github) * Azure or AWS Services (IAM, Lambda, API Gateway) * REST APIs, and Web API * Angular or React * SpecFlow for Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) * Postman for API testing and development * OpenAPI * MS SQL Server (SQL) * MongoDB (NoSQL) * Docker We are not expecting the Lead Software Developer to be an expert in all the technologies above, just a strong basis knowledge and passion to learn more!
