Reporting to the Group's Head of Finance, the Financial Accountant will oversee the Finance Team's contribution to timely and accurate reporting, to support business decisions, whilst also ensuring the most efficient processes are in place to maintain compliance with all accounting and tax regulations.
The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, qualified accountant with a minimum of two years post qualification experience in Industry or from Practice. A strong academic track record coupled with the ability and drive to succeed in the SME environment are essential to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:
- Managing the company's Finance and Administration team
- Manage the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable & Credit Control functions.
- Preparation of monthly consolidated financial information.
- Manage full trial balance and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- FP specifically analysing trends.
- Design and implement agreed improvements to the current processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (CT, VAT, VIES etc.)
- Liaising with and assisting external auditors.
Requirements for Financial Accountant:
- ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualified with good accounts preparation experience.
- People management experience.
Highly Desirable Attributes for Financial Accountant:
- An understanding of ERP and/or similar Business Software tools.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple issues simultaneously.
- A self-starter with an ability to identify issues and resolve problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exposure to compliance requirements for USA companies/subsidiaries.
- 2 - 3 years' experience in a similar role.
