IT & Automation Technician
Location: Aylesford, Kent – must be within commuting distance or willing to relocate. Salary: £30,000 – £35,000. Fully on‑site. Core hours: 6:30 am – 3:30 pm Tuesday to Friday and 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Saturday (Sundays and Mondays off).
What You’ll Do
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair a range of automated picking and packing equipment in the fulfilment centre.
- Carry out proactive maintenance to maximise uptime and prevent breakdowns.
- Keep machinery and equipment in good condition, including regular cleaning.
- Diagnose faults and perform reactive repairs, restoring production lines quickly.
- Provide front‑line IT support for over 200 users, troubleshooting hardware and software across PCs, laptops, tablets, mobile devices and printers.
- Assist the IT Manager with IT infrastructure projects.
- Ensure sufficient spare parts, tools and supplies are available to minimise downtime.
- Maintain strong relationships with equipment manufacturers, keeping up to date with innovations and best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanical/technical background, preferably from a fulfilment centre (not required).
- Hands‑on, "tinkerer" mindset with mechanical dexterity.
- Passion for continuous improvement of systems and processes.
- Experience with MS 365 and Ubiquiti environments is desirable.
- High IT literacy, can‑do attitude and ability to get things done.
- Must be able to relocate or commute to Aylesford, Kent.
