We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented IT Security Analyst to join a well‑established Not for Profit organisation based in Fareham. You'll be working within a collaborative IT team, supporting the security, governance and compliance of systems across the business. The organisation employs close to 400 people and is expanding. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for cyber and IT security to take ownership of a varied role, working closely with internal stakeholders and third‑party providers to strengthen security posture and ensure regulatory compliance. The environment encourages continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and the opportunity to influence security practices across the organisation.
The IT Security Analyst will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing security controls, supporting risk management activities, and ensuring systems and data remain protected against evolving threats.
Key Skills- IT security principles and best practices
- Risk assessment and mitigation
- Security monitoring and incident response
- Microsoft security tools (Defender, Purview, etc.)
- GDPR and data protection compliance
- Patch management and vulnerability management
- Networking and infrastructure security
- Security frameworks (e.g. ISO27001, Cyber Essentials)
- Reporting and documentation
- Exposure to security certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security+, Cyber Essentials)
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g. Microsoft Sentinel)
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO27001, PCI‑DSS
- Experience working with third‑party IT providers
- Support the maintenance and development of IT security policies and procedures
- Work with third‑party suppliers to ensure security standards are met
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and respond to security incidents

- Assist with risk management processes and compliance activities
- Maintain accurate records of assets, licences and security controls
