HGV Class 2 Driver – Permanent – 4 day week (Tue-Fri) Up to 40K + Bonus + Overtime – Aylesbury
We are looking for a highly motivated HGV Class 2 Driver to join an award-winning company that has been established for over 125 years. The organisation operates within the FMCG sector and has a head office in Aylesbury.
This exciting opportunity is suitable for a HGV Class 2 Driver with 6 months or more of commercial experience. The organisation employs over 170 people and has been expanding rapidly in recent years.
There are two separate depots in Aylesbury, one specialising in the home counties and the other across London. Roles at both depots are available.
The position is full-time and permanent, offering a 4-day working week from Tuesday to Friday, with daytime hours only. Overtime is available if desired. The environment is relaxed yet professional, moving away from a traditional corporate structure.
HGV Class 2 Driver Requirements
- At least 6 months of commercial experience
- Class 2 (C) or Class 1 (C+E) licence
- CPC card
- Digital Tachograph card
HGV Class 2 Driver Responsibilities
- Perform daily vehicle checks and ensure safe loading of goods.
- Review delivery notes and route plans for efficient and accurate deliveries.
- Deliver products to various hospitality venues professionally and carefully.
- Engage confidently with customers, communicate delivery issues, and handle special requests as needed.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes, returns, and collections.
- Maintain confidentiality and customer trust at all times.
- Follow all health & safety protocols.
We do not expect HGV Class 2 Drivers to be experts in all areas listed, just to have a solid foundational knowledge and a passion to learn more!
You should be enthusiastic, a great communicator, and comfortable in a client-facing environment. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are essential.
