Role: Assistant Management Accountant Location: Esh Winning Salary: £32-35k The Assistant Management Accountant will work as a key member of the finance team and will work very closely with management accountants, finance assistants, sales and purchase ledger teams, and will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and submission of the monthly accounts. Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant; * Assisting in the preparation and submission of the monthly accounts, including journal preparation and posting. * Ensure the finance reporting is produced accurately and within agreed timescales. * Control of balance sheets and supporting reconciliations. * Ensure robust financial controls are in place. * Identify systems and performance improvement opportunities. * Provide support to the Management Accountant as required. * Early identification of any issues identified and flagging to management – no surprises approach. * Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance Department by assisting the Management Accountant in identifying and implementing improved processes and procedures. * Offering support and guidance to the finance ledger teams as required. * Other duties as and when requested by your Line Manager. Qualifications/Skills required for the Assistant Management Accountant; * Minimum 2 years experience in a finance role. * Part qualified ACCA/CIMA. * An aptitude for IT – Experience of Microsoft packages Excel and Outlook.
