A book keeper/accounts ledger manager is required for a busy group of businesses, based in Chobham, Surrey. We are seeking an experienced multitasker who can take control of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, run cash flow and create pay runs. This role is ideal for someone who has been in a bookkeeping role before and is looking for more responsibility to move beyond day-to-day bookkeeping tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Accounts Payable β Process invoices, code & project allocate. Scan and attach.
- Accounts Receivable β Create invoices, pass for soft approval and send to customers.
- Credit Control β Send statements and chase overdue accounts.
- Bank Accounts β Reconcile numerous bank accounts, including foreign currency & complex transactions.
- PAYE β Process Payroll, send payslips and reconcile payments internally.
- Expenses β Managing employee expense claims.
- Reporting β Produce reports for regular company meetings.
- Tidy Books β Regularly check the ledgers & nominal accounts for errors/mis postings and ensure the picture being presented to management of the financial position is as accurate as possible.
- End of Year β Assist the accountant with the preparatory works for end of year filings.
Requirements
- Xero software experience, minimum 1 year.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient with Word & Outlook.
- 1 year operating PAYE for >15 staff.
- A good understanding of foreign currency accounts, payments and invoice processing.
- AAT Level 2 or above.
- Experience within an accountancy practice.
