ItsFood is a growing food development agency based in London, working with clients ranging from founders and start-ups through to global FMCG brands on product development, innovation strategy, supplier sourcing, and menu development. We're looking for a Food & Content Developer to join our small, fast-moving team and support our two founders across product development, content, business development, and operations.
This is a broad, hands-on role for someone with culinary experience who's curious about food trends and consumer thinking, and confident creating content across multiple channels. Success in this role looks like someone who can move fluidly between the test kitchen and the laptop — developing recipes and costings one day, writing a blog post or building a pitch deck the next — while steadily taking on more ownership of projects and client relationships as they grow into the role.
Responsibilities- Support end-to-end product development projects, from ideation and recipe development through to benchmarking and reformulation across a wide range of client categories.
- Assist with recipe costing, yield calculations, and nutritional analysis to ensure concepts are commercially viable.
- Translate client briefs into workable recipes, adapting for different production methods (retail, foodservice, manufacturing).
- Support supplier and ingredient sourcing, sample requests, and comparative tastings.
- Manage and grow ItsFood's LinkedIn and Instagram presence with consistent, on-brand content.
- Research, write, and publish a regular blog covering food trends and industry insight.
- Research prospective clients and support the preparation of proposals and pitch materials.
- Build client-facing presentations and pitch decks to ItsFood house style.
- Maintain organised project records, templates, and filing systems.
- Get hands-on in test kitchens and, where relevant, on-site with manufacturers.
- A background in food: culinary school/college, hospitality, or food development experience.
- Confident culinary ability to work to a brief across a range of categories.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and engagingly.
- Confident with design and presentation tools (Canva, PowerPoint).
- Highly organised and self-motivated, comfortable managing your own time.
- Commercially curious — genuinely interested in why food businesses make the decisions they do.
- Comfortable in a small team where you'll be trusted with real responsibility quickly.
- A flexible attitude to work location and time management.
- Desirable: experience managing social media, exposure to product development or retail buying, or an existing network in food and drink.
