At ITS, we’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading suppliers of tools, accessories, and related products – and we’re now entering an exciting new phase in the expansion of our retail store network. We’ve recently launched a new store concept designed to give customers a more hands-on experience.
To support this next stage of growth, we’re looking for a Retail Stock Controller to act as the central point of control for all retail stock and inventory performance across our retail stores. As Retail Stock Controller, you’ll be responsible for managing and optimising the stock profile of each store to ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time.
You will play a key role in connecting stores, buying, commercial and marketing teams, using data and insight to drive stock decisions that support both sales growth and operational efficiency.
- Analyse sales and stock data to optimise store stock profiles and ranging.
- Manage and develop processes for retail product selection and range changes, ensuring stock profiles reflect seasonal trends, demand patterns and local requirements.
- Provide data-led recommendations for use of promotional and prime selling space, supporting and helping coordinate merchandising activity linked to promotions.
- Work closely with store managers to review performance, availability and stock levels.
- Collaborate with Buying, Commercial and Marketing teams to align ranging, promotions and stock strategy.
- Develop reporting, KPIs and stock performance metrics for the retail network.
- Check and help co-ordinate the merchandising of products to support promotional activity.
- Continuously review and improve stock processes, systems and controls.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience using sales and stock data.
- Experience working in a retail, stock, merchandising or trading environment.
- Strong Excel skills (forecasting, analysis, reporting).
- Flexible approach with a hands-on mindset.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
