We are working in partnership with a highly regarded marine and land-based civil engineering contractor that continues to grow across the UK. As part of this expansion, they are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Site Agent / Site Manager to strengthen their delivery team. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile projects including coastal protection, harbours, flood defences, piling and dredging schemes nationwide.
The Role
As Site Agent / Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of civil and marine infrastructure projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all site operations, including labour, subcontractors, plant, materials, logistics and traffic management
- Champion a proactive health, safety and environmental culture through briefings, toolbox talks, inspections and audits
- Manage technical delivery, including drawings, specifications, ITPs, inspections and testing, working closely with engineering teams to resolve issues
- Undertake short-term planning, monitor progress and produce clear, accurate reports
- Coordinate all site stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams, to ensure smooth project delivery
- Provide accurate site information to support commercial and cost management teams
- Operate effectively within tidal, environmental and programme constraints, requiring strong planning and problem-solving skills
Location & Working Pattern
UK-wide, site-based role across a variety of project locations. Regular travel and overnight stays will be required.
Essential Criteria
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' experience in civil engineering site delivery at Site Agent / Site Manager level
- Background in civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities or heavy civils
- CSCS Site Manager/Supervisor card; SMSTS preferred
- Full UK driving licence
