About ITS
With over 50 years' experience in the construction recruitment industry and 19 offices across the UK, ITS is an established and successful recruitment business with a strong reputation for delivering specialist staffing solutions. Our offices are built around strong local relationships, deep market knowledge and a genuinely bespoke approach to clients and candidates. Each office has the autonomy to operate as its own business, while benefiting from hands-on leadership, structured development and the support of a collaborative wider group.
The Opportunity
The Horsham office has been established since 1989 and has built a strong reputation across the Sussex market, with longstanding relationships with many of the region's leading contractors and an established, profitable client base. This is more than an opportunity to manage a billing desk. We’re looking for someone ambitious, commercially driven and energised by the opportunity to build something special. Someone who enjoys winning business, developing people and taking ownership of an operation - and who wants to play a meaningful role in shaping its future. Working closely with one of the Group Directors, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the office, supporting and developing the team while helping to drive its next phase of growth. For the right person, this is a genuine opportunity to build towards senior leadership, Directorship and ultimately shareholding within ITS.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, manage and develop a team of recruitment consultants and resourcers.
- Drive office performance, billing, revenue and profitability.
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing clients and key accounts.
- Identify and win new business, while supporting consultants to develop their own client portfolios.
- Set high standards across customer service, delivery and operational performance.
- Coach and mentor the team, helping individuals maximise their potential.
- Lead from the front commercially, while creating a positive and accountable office culture.
- Work closely with senior leadership to deliver growth strategies and identify new opportunities.
About You
You’ll be an experienced recruiter with a strong commercial track record and the ambition to take the next step. You may already be a Billing Manager, or you could be a Senior or Managing Consultant ready to take on your first leadership role. We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in recruitment management, team leadership or a senior billing role.
- A proven ability to generate revenue and develop successful teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent relationship-building skills.
- The confidence and communication skills to work with clients, candidates and senior stakeholders.
- A hands-on, positive and accountable approach.
- The ambition to build a successful business, not simply manage a desk.
Experience within construction recruitment would be advantageous, but it isn’t essential. We’re also interested in experienced recruiters from relationship-led sectors where long-term client development and consultative sales are central to success.
This Could Be Your Next Step If…
- You’re an experienced Billing Manager looking for greater autonomy and a clearer route to Directorship.
- You’re a successful Senior or Managing Consultant ready to make the move into leadership.
- You’re already managing a team but want greater ownership of the performance, strategy and direction of an office.
- You’re commercially ambitious and want the opportunity to shape and grow an established business rather than operate within a rigid corporate structure.
- You’re looking for a genuine long-term career with the potential for Directorship and shareholding.
Development & Progression
At ITS, we believe in developing our people and promoting from within. Many of our current Directors started their careers in similar positions and have progressed through our leadership pathway.
You’ll have access to:
- Structured leadership and management development.
- Mentoring and support from experienced Directors and senior leaders.
- External training and professional development.
- A clear pathway towards senior leadership, Directorship and shareholding.
Why ITS?
This is an opportunity to join an established business while still having the freedom and autonomy to make a real difference. You’ll have:
- An established team and profitable client base.
- The autonomy to influence and shape the future of the Horsham office.
- Direct access to experienced Directors and senior leadership.
- The opportunity to build your own reputation and commercial success.
- Uncapped personal and team earning potential.
- A genuine route to Directorship and shareholding.
- The chance to build a long-term career with ITS, rather than simply take your next billing role.
Package & Benefits
Competitive basic salary. Car allowance. Uncapped personal and team commission. Quarterly and annual performance bonuses. Incentive trips and rewards. Structured leadership and career development.
