We are working in partnership with a well‑established, privately owned mechanical heating and plumbing company who are looking to recruit an experienced Service Engineer to join their friendly and professional team in Bristol. The business specialises in heating, plumbing, rainwater and architectural products, air conditioning, and renewable technologies, delivering high‑quality solutions across commercial, industrial, and domestic sectors.
The Role
As a Service Engineer, you will be working primarily across commercial and industrial sites, carrying out:
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Planned and reactive maintenance
- Repairs and breakdowns
- Annual servicing
You will work on Natural Gas, LPG and Oil systems, with a smaller element of domestic work for a loyal private client base.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in a similar service engineering role
- Commercial and domestic qualifications in Natural Gas, LPG and Oil
- A valid CSCS card
- A full, valid UK driving licence
- Strong self‑management and customer service skills

- Commercial Natural Gas: CDGA1, CORT1, CIGA1, CODNC01, ICPN1, TPCP1 / 1A
- Domestic Natural Gas: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, MET1
- LPG: CONGL1PD
- Oil: OFTEC 101, 105E, 600a
- Plumbing / Heating: HWSS (including G3)
The Package
- £45,000 - £54,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience, certifications, and autonomy
- 40‑hour working week plus overtime opportunities
- On‑call rota: 1 week in 5, with a £100 standby payment
- Dedicated training and upskilling matrix
- Company van (including personal use allowance)
