Job description: Groundworker required for a growing groundworks subcontractor. An experienced and hardworking Groundworker with Dumper Ticket is needed to assist with a project based in Ringmer, East Sussex. Own tools & transport are essential. This contract is Monday to Friday and there may be the option to do overtime.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Front end gang finishing
- Install kerbs & edging
- Take up block paving & grading
- In & out the machine to help out
- General groundworks
- Drainage
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met
Requirements for the role:
- A valid CSCS/CPCS or NPORS card with Dumper Ticket is required
- References upon request
- The ability to perform physical manual labour
- You should have your own high vis jacket or vest, gloves and hard hat. These can be provided by ITS Building People for a small fee.
- Own tools are required
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Training/Progression opportunities: There may be opportunities to acquire additional qualifications with this role on Health and Safety, machinery and traffic management.
