Job description: Groundworker required for a growing groundworks subcontractor. ITS Building People are looking for an experienced and hardworking Groundworker to assist our client with a project based in Lewes, East Sussex. Own transport is essential. This contract is Monday to Friday and there may be the option to do overtime.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Install kerbs & edging
  • Finishing
  • Take up Block Paving & Grading
  • Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met

Requirements for the role:

  • A valid CSCS card is desirable
  • The ability to perform physical manual labour
  • You should have your own high vis jacket or vest, gloves and hard hat. These can be provided by ITS Building People for a small fee.
  • Own tools are required
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)

Training/Progression opportunities: There may be opportunities to acquire additional qualifications with this role on Health and Safety, machinery and traffic management.
