Job description: 1ST Fix Carpenter required for a residential project. ITS Building People are looking for an experienced and hardworking 1st Fix Carpenter to assist our client with a project based in Brighton, East Sussex. Own transport required.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Carry out 1st fix carpentry including stud walls, joists, flooring, roof structures and door frames.
- Read and work accurately from technical drawings and specifications.
- Measure, cut and install timber and sheet materials to a high standard.
- Work safely and efficiently on construction sites, following all health and safety requirements.
- Maintain good quality workmanship while meeting project deadlines and schedules.
Requirements for the role:
- Own tools & transport
- Previous Carpentry experience
- References upon request
- You should have your own high vis jacket or vest, gloves and hard hat. These can be provided by ITS Building People for a small fee.
Training/Progression opportunities: There may be opportunities to acquire additional qualifications with this role on Health and Safety, machinery and traffic management.
