We are looking for an experienced Gas & Water Plumber to join a busy property maintenance team, carrying out repairs and maintenance within social housing properties. This role is mainly focused on domestic plumbing works, with around 85% plumbing and 15% gas-related work, so the ideal candidate will be a strong plumber who is also Gas Safe registered and confident completing basic domestic gas tasks when required.
Duties will include:
- Carrying out day-to-day plumbing repairs in occupied and void social housing properties
- Repairing and replacing taps, wastes, traps, pipework, toilets, showers, baths and basins
- Investigating and repairing leaks, blockages and general water/plumbing faults
- Completing minor installation and maintenance works
- Carrying out occasional gas-related works where required
- Ensuring all works are completed safely, professionally and to a high standard
- Working in tenants’ homes and providing good customer service
- Completing job notes, paperwork and updates through a PDA or mobile system
Requirements:
- Gas Safe registration – essential
- Strong domestic plumbing experience
- Experience working in social housing, maintenance or domestic repairs preferred
- Confident working in occupied properties
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Own tools
- Ability to work independently and manage daily workload
