SW-007-Plasterer266 Plasterer £24- £26 per hour Working for a Maintenance Contractor Based out of Romford, East London/Essex Long-term temp role | Social Housing Maintenance Role good to knows * Covering a geographical area within the London Borough of Havering * Own van would be the preference, but own car also considered * If you don’t have your own transport, please still apply as there is the option to deliver materials to site Overview We are currently seeking experienced Plasterers to join a busy social housing maintenance team working across properties in London Borough of Havering. This is a long-term temporary position carrying out planned works in communal social housing blocks with the key works consisting of being: * The removal of old Artex and re-placing with a new skim coat to the walls * The main areas of work will consist of communal areas in housing estate stairwells The ideal candidate will be a strong Plasterer with reliable multi-trade skills and the ability to work independently or in 2 and 1 gang, delivering high-quality repairs to a good standard. You should also have boarding experience with an additional multi-trade skill set being an advantage. Key Responsibilities As a Plasterer Multi-Trader, your duties will include: * Completing minor patch work through to a full skim, renewals and installations in occupied communal areas of properties * You could also be undertaking multi-trade works including: * Tiling (splashbacks) * Painting & decorating * General domestic repairs * Working towards a first-time fix wherever possible * Planning and managing your own daily workload to meet contract SLAs * Logging works completed accurately * Ensuring all work meets high standards of safety and quality * Providing a professional, respectful service to tenants * Reporting any additional or follow-on works required * Maintaining equipment and materials * Working independently or as part of a team when required Essential Criteria Experience working in occupied residential settings Strong customer service and communication skills Full UK Driving Licence and own transport (Ideally but not essential) Ability to work independently across a dispersed housing patch Desirable Criteria Previous social housing repairs experience would be an advantage NVQ Level 2/3 in Plastering or time-served equivalent Experience using job sheets Understanding of responsive repairs and maintenance environments Knowledge of SOR codes would be helpful but not initial What You Will Receive Competitive hourly rate of £24 - £26 per hour Long term temporary assignment Work across a dedicated patch in The London Borough of Havering Weekly pay Opportunity to contribute to improving the quality and safety of tenants’ homes and communal spaces Next step to apply for this Plasterer role: As a candidate ideally with similar experience, you will already know the technical specifications of this role, but following your application of interest, you will have the role explained in more detail ITS Property Maintenance are acting as an employment business for this vacancy To achieve the upper pay bracket you must show good experience of working on social housing repair contracts.
