The Opportunity
Could you become a top-billing Recruitment Consultant? You might not know the answer yet and you don't need previous recruitment experience to find out. ITS Property Maintenance are looking for an ambitious, confident and hardworking individual to join our specialist team in Reading as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant. We're not expecting you to arrive as a finished recruiter. We're looking for the raw ingredients; personality, confidence, communication skills, competitiveness, resilience, ambition and a genuine willingness to learn. We'll teach you the recruitment part.
You'll receive hands-on training and mentoring from experienced and successful recruitment professionals who will show you how to develop those raw skills into the ability to win clients, recruit candidates, generate revenue and build your own successful recruitment desk. There is no shortcut, though;
- Recruitment rewards people who are prepared to work hard, make the calls, learn from setbacks, follow up opportunities and consistently put the effort in.
Put the two together; our training and support + your hard work and ambition and there is a genuine opportunity to build an extremely successful and financially rewarding career.
Why ITS Property Maintenance?
One of the biggest advantages of joining ITS Property Maintenance is the experience you'll have around you. You'll be trained and supported by experienced, successful and top-billing recruitment professionals, including working directly alongside an industry-leading consultant with over 20 years' experience setting up and running Social Housing Maintenance recruitment divisions and teams. That experience includes previously building a specialist recruitment business within this market to multi-million-pound annual turnover. You'll therefore be learning from people who understand not only how to recruit, but how to build a desk, develop a market, win clients and turn recruitment activity into sustainable revenue. We'll give you the knowledge, tools, coaching and support. What we can't give you is the hunger to use them.
What Will You Be Recruiting?
You'll be trained to recruit across our specialist Property Maintenance and Social Housing division, supplying both temporary and permanent staff.
What Will You Learn?
Recruitment is effectively about building your own business within a business. We'll train you from the ground up in how to:
- Identify and approach prospective clients
- Make confident B2B sales calls and build relationships with decision-makers
- Research companies, contracts and new business opportunities
- Source, interview and qualify candidates
- Advertise vacancies and search CV databases
- Match and market candidates to clients
- Negotiate rates and manage interviews and job offers
- Look after temporary workers and develop client accounts
- Generate referrals and new opportunities
- Build a profitable recruitment desk of your own
What Do You Need to Bring?
- We're far more interested in your potential and attitude than whether you've worked in recruitment before.
- You may currently work in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, account management, estate agency, automotive sales, sport/leisure or another target-driven environment or simply be looking for your first serious career opportunity.
- What matters is that you're ambitious, confident with people, resilient, competitive, hardworking and willing to learn.
We won't pretend recruitment is easy. You'll hear no. Candidates will sometimes let you down. Clients won't always return your calls and sometimes you'll work hard on a vacancy without making the placement. That's recruitment. The successful consultants are the ones who learn from it, pick the phone back up and go again.
What You'll Receive
- £24,000 - £30,000 basic salary
- Uncapped commission
- Structured recruitment and sales training
- Daily hands-on coaching and mentoring
- Support from experienced and top-billing consultants
- Opportunity to develop your own specialist recruitment desk
