Full Time | 12 Month-Fixed Term Contract
Based in Cheltenham with travel between Cheltenham & Gloucester (Multi-site role).
You will be working for a well-established and values-driven organisation delivering high-quality property maintenance across a diverse portfolio of residential and community-based sites. Due to increased demand, they are looking to add an experienced Multi-Trader to their Property & Maintenance team.
This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring properties and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
The organisation currently delivers approximately 350 repairs directly to their housing stock and operates with a 6–8 day void turnaround. While working to repair and maintenance KPI’s is important, the primary focus is on delivering a professional, caring, and supportive service to residents, helping them develop independent living.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, on an initial 12-month contract.
Important Good to Knows:- This is a multi-site role – a full UK driving licence is essential.
- Ideally you will be located within a 30–45 minute commute of Cheltenham.
- A company van will be provided, and driving between sites will be required daily.
- You should have a clean licence or minimal points (maximum points threshold applies).
- You will be working in occupied environments, so professionalism and customer service are key.
- You will be required to pass pre-employment checks including references and DBS.
- Work will be carried out across a mix of residential and communal buildings across Cheltenham and Gloucester.
- Carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance across multiple properties.
- Completing a wide range of multi-trade tasks including:
- Basic plumbing (e.g. taps, leaks, minor repairs).
- Carpentry (e.g. doors, locks, adjustments).
- Decorating and making good.
- General property repairs and upkeep.
- External works including basic landscaping.
- Supporting void property works to prepare units for reoccupation within target turnaround times.
- Working across multiple sites in Cheltenham and Gloucester on a planned route.
- Ensuring all works are carried out in line with Health & Safety regulations.
- Maintaining tools, materials, and work areas in a safe and tidy condition.
- Liaising with supervisors and wider teams to report issues or additional works required.
- Completing job sheets and records of works undertaken.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a maintenance or multi-trade role.
- Strong all-round handyperson / multi-trade skillset.
- Ideally some experience in plumbing and carpentry.
- Experience working in occupied properties or similar environments (advantageous).
- Experience of working in sheltered accommodation, temporary accommodation, or secure environments would be a strong advantage.
- Ability to manage workload across multiple sites.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a hands-on approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant trade (or willingness to work towards).
