Working for a Maintenance Contractor based out of Cambridge, this long-term temp role involves social housing maintenance. The position covers a geographical area around Cambridge, with a company van supplied and mileage covered.
Key elements of the role and your responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating a core skilled trade of carpentry and undertaking a range of multi-trade duties including:
- Minor plumbing repairs
- Tiling (mainly splash backs)
- Painting and decorating
- Patch plastering
- General property maintenance
What you need to bring to the role:
- Strong carpentry background with the ability to carry out multi-trade works.
- NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery or the ability to show that you are “time served”.
- Your own 110v power tools and hand tools.
- Ability to undertake written paperwork or use of a PDA to record jobs completed.
- SOR codes knowledge is desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of maintenance repair works.
- Ability to manage and carry out booked repairs in a dispersed region.
- Previous experience of social housing repairs, voids, or planned works.
- Adhering to company health and safety guidelines.
- Working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong customer service skills due to repairs taking place in occupied properties.
- Tidy work ethic, ensuring all adjoining work areas are kept clean and damage-free.
- Problem solving and decision making skills.

Hours and pay:
- £20 – £23 per hour.
