Working for a maintenance contractor in their voids team in the Andover area.
This is a temp role covering a voids contract with an initial period of 3/4 months before being extended or a temp-to-perm being offered. You will need a full UK Driving Licence as a van will be supplied by the client, but you will need your own tools.
You will be working for an established Maintenance Contractor within the in-house maintenance delivery team who carry out full void refurbishments to a Housing Association’s portfolio of properties.
Key elements of the role and your responsibilities:- You will be focused on turning around void (empty) properties in a safe and timely manner, achieving a finish to be proud of.
- You should be able to demonstrate a core skilled trade of plumbing and the ability to undertake a range of multi-trade duties including:
- Like for like carpentry works
- Tiling (mainly splash backs)
- Painting and decorating
- Patch plastering
- Kitchen fitting
- Bathroom upgrades
- General property maintenance
- NVQ Level 2 or be “time served”.
- Your own 110v power tools and hand tools.
- Basic IT skills as you will be using a PDA.
- SOR codes knowledge is desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of maintenance repair works.
- Previous experience of social housing repairs, voids, or planned works.
- Adhere to company health and safety guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Problem solving and decision making.
