The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced planner to support a social housing repairs contract team delivering social housing maintenance projects in CB10, CB11, CM22, CM23, and CM24. This is a long-term temporary assignment, initially offered on an ongoing long-term contract, with the potential to extend and go perm. The role is office based and located in the Saffron Walden (CB11 4LH) area working within a busy newly formed works team.

Role Summary

ITS Property Maintenance is looking to appoint a reliable and organised Administrator / Planner to provide comprehensive office and planning support to a busy Social Housing Repairs team. You will play a key part in keeping administrative, planning and scheduling processes running smoothly, ensuring information is planned and recorded accurately, documentation is well maintained, and the team is supported in meeting repair deadlines.

Project Background

ITS Property Maintenance is working in partnership with a client to deliver a major social housing maintenance contract.

Key Duties:

  • Your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning, Scheduling duties organising internal trade operatives on booked repair appointments
  • Speak to tenants over the phone or on email to book and arrange repairs to be carried out
  • Manage the repair from booking to completion
  • Providing general administrative and clerical support
  • Maintaining trackers, logs, and internal records
  • Entering data accurately and within required timeframes
  • Responding to queries from team members and the client
  • Preparing clear, professional documentation and correspondence
  • Assisting the team in achieving deadlines and performance targets

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role
  • Worked on a Social Housing, Local Authority, FM Repairs contract in a planning or scheduling position/remit
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Confidence updating spreadsheets and handling data entry
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
