ITS Group is a leading construction recruitment business with over 50 years experience supplying personnel to the construction industry On behalf of our client we are looking for a Health & safety Advisor / Trainer to join their established team in Redruth Our client is a specialist roofing contractor with over 20 years trading history in Cornwall currently working across multiple housing developments and smaller projects across west Cornwall. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to work with the Contracts Manager to grow the business through training. To provide; all training needs within the company to include H&S and NVQ2, ensuring that employees are following best practice regarding PPE, ensuring all required training is up-to-date and perform in-house site H&S inspections. Supervise apprentices in their training and integration into the company. Assist the Contracts Manager to improve working practices and reducing unauthorised absenteeism. You should be sufficiently trained to provide H&S training resulting in the issue of the necessary certificates. Have a positive and enthusiastic approach to training individuals to enhance their knowledge. To work as part of the team to enhance productivity through training and reduced absenteeism. * Ensuring Roofing Operatives have the necessary training to meet H&S requirements * Preparing training schedules in conjunction with Contracts Manager * Supporting Roofing Operatives to achieve their NVQ2 qualification * Ensuring our H&S policies are up-to-date * Ensure H&S policies are followed by the workforce, via a program of site inspections * Support an Apprenticeship programme by ensuring their smooth integration into the workforce and that they are meeting their training requirements. Salary commensurate to role and experience. Working Hours; Monday – Friday: 07:30 – 16:30 and any hours necessary.
